MICHAEL GOULDER, retired biblical scholar of the University of Birmingham, has passed away. The sad news comes from
Mark Goodacre, who reports that Professor Goulder died yesterday. His Wikipedia entry is
here. My strongest memory of Michael was at the 1999 British New Testament Conference. It was my first time there and he noticed me as a new person and bought me a beer. He was a good guy.
