Carta has just released what is likely the most beautiful and most useful edition of Josephus’s The Jewish War ever printed. Here’s why I think this is the edition you (and your students) will want to read ...Be forewarned that the translation used in the edition is the very out-of-date eighteenth-century one by Whiston. So if you get this edition — and the maps and photos etc. do sound very useful — be sure also to invest in a modern translation for actual reading.
