The Weird Findings, Strange Artefacts And Archaeologic Gems Of Malta. And these barely scratch the surface (literally) (Chiara Micallef, Lovin Malta). This is the first I remember hearing the story of the Maltese giantess and her human lover. This appears to be a local legend. I don't know how old it is.
