HERE'S A BRIEF REPORT ON THE 2004 QUMRAN EXCAVATION, written by Randall Price. (Click on the link to download it as a pdf file.) He mentions the discovery of some storage jars of the same type in which some of the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. They also found some caches of animal bones, which he thinks represent a ritual installation. I'm skeptical until I hear more. And tying them to the celebration of the messianic banquet strikes me as rather an overinterpretation. Anyhow, read it yourself and see what you think.
