Finally, what is the best way to describe the date of the codex in light of all the data (palaeographic and radiocarbon)? We can now say with a high degree of confidence: “fourth century to mid-sixth century.”That's good, and that's what we expected. But the intrusive conservation process does still leave some doubt about the C-14 result.
