While paging through the Bible, one can find it hard to truly see the daily life of ancient Israelites. What did they eat? Where did they live? What kind of clothes did they wear? In recent years, however, Levantine domestic archaeology has given us a few rare glimpses into what that life was like, with magnificent findings like the famous four-room houses, Judean pillar figurines, and even insights into the probable diet that sustained the people who lived in that reality.This article does give a realistic view of the lives of people in antiquity, including the endemic parasite infestations.
